Tour players embracing SST PURE June 4, 2000
MIAMI, Fla. -- Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C., announced that in the four weeks since debuting its process on the PGA Tour, more than 30 players have had their clubs aligned by the company's SST PURE shaft alignment process. Some of the most prominent names on golf are among those players using SST's technology. "To my knowledge, there has never been a product or process introduced on Tour that has achieved such rapid acceptance," SST President Philip Talamonti said. "Attaining this incredible level of support in such a short time is extremely gratifying and we are pleased to have received this strong vote of confidence from the greatest golfers in the world." Players using the SST PURE process have already posted multiple wins, as well as numerous top 10 finishes on Tour. "Our technology is real and beneficial -- as many players can now attest -- and this is the hottest equipment story to hit the industry in some time," Talamonti said. "The process works on every club every made, regardless of manufacturer, so its application for the overall golfing public is staggering." The SST PURE process eliminates equipment-induced mishits and improves impact repeatability through its method of shaft stabilization which applies to all shafts, regardless of whether steel or composite. The process can be performed on new clubs, new shafts, and can also be acquired through a retrofitting option which utilizes a player's existing set of clubs and shafts. SST is owned by Miami businessman Dick Weiss and the company is not affiliated with any golf club or golf shaft company.
